Biography:

Dr. Schelotto graduated from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National University of La Plata in 1994. He did his residency in General Surgery, including chief of residents at Italian Hospital of La Plata from 1995 to 1999. Later he did his training in liver surgery and liver transplantation at hospital Clínic, Barcelona, where he also gained his Doctor of Medicine in 2000. From 2002 to 2009 he served as surgeon in the Unit Liver Transplantation and Liver Surgery at Dr. C. Argerich Hospital in Buenos Aires. Since 2009 he works as a surgeon in multiorgan transplant at the Surgeon Transplant Institute, University Hospital Favaloro Foundation, and teaches in the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National University of La Plata.

Egresado de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata en 1994. Hizo su residencia de Cirugía General, incluida la jefatura en el Hospital Italiano de La plata desde 1995 hasta 1999. Posteriormente hizo su entrenamiento en cirugía hepática y trasplante de Hígado en el Hospital Clinic de Barcelona, donde también, realizó su Doctorado en Medicina entre los años 1999 y 2001. Entre el 2002 y 2009 se desempeñó como cirujano de la Unidad de Trasplante Hepático y Cirugía de Hígado del Hospital Dr. C. Argerich de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Desde 2009 se desempeña como Subjefe y Cirujano del Instituto de Trasplante multiorgánico del Hospital Universitario - Fundación Favaloro. Es docente de la Cátedra de Cirugía de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata.
